Deutschlandsberg

Robin's mom arrived yesterday for a visit. Amazingly after 3 different flights and 20+ hours of traveling, she went with Robin to her aerobics class! Today David went to work, so Robin & Cheryl took a day trip to the town to Deutschlandsberg. It's about a 1 hour train ride south-west of Graz. Here's the "May Pole" in the center of town. We ate lunch and then walked around.
There are many vineyards and Buschenschänken (basically little restaurants at the vineyards where you drink wine and eat snacks) in the region. Schlilcher wine is the regional specialty.
There is an old castle overlooking the town. Today there is a restaurant, hotel, and museum in the castle.

After touring the castle museum, we had a glass of schilcher wine and enjoyed the view.
