Podersdorf am See
There was a festival this weekend in Podersdorf am See in the provence of Burgenland. The main event was windsurfing, but the Vienna footbag crew organized a footbag competition. Unfortunately, it rained pretty much the whole weekend, so it wasn't too festive.
We decided to try to make the most of it, which proved to be very difficult. David injured his hip on the first day, so he couldn't kick much, which was the main point of being there. To top it all off, some ***hole stole his jacket! The jacket was a gift from uncle Elliot. In the jacket were David's hat, umbrella, international drivers license, and our best friend the German-English electronic dictionary- so there is a whole story of a person included with the jacket. The thief could tell that the owner of the jacket was an American, and that since they stole this American's jacket, they are now going to be cold, wet, unable to drive, and unable to communicate. I hope they get struck by a bolt of lightening. Bad karma, bad!
Matt and his friend Evan made the trip from Prague! We are so glad you were there Matt! Your presence made our weekend worth it!
All the footbag action was held inside a big tent.

Here's Klämens competing...
On Monday the sun finally came out. Of course, by this point we were ready to leave.
We took advantage of having a car and took the long way home. It was so nice to drive and see the countryside. Here's our egg-shaped rental car:
A cool castle ruin high on top of a hill:
We stopped in Semmering for lunch, and made it safely back to Graz without anything else happening to ruin our weekend.
