die Wanderung

Today was a holiday so everything was closed. It was a beautiful summer day and luckily Helmut & Stefan from David's lab had the foresight to plan a hiking trip.

Of course, sticking with Austrian traditions, we had a beer at a hut at the end of our hike. How civilized!
We did pretty well speaking German most of the day and appreciate everyone's patience with our schlectes Deutsch! David was much better at putting together sentences than I, but I could understand most of what everyone was saying.
