Tirol Hike
After the procession, we drove from Heinfels through the small villages of Ausservillgraten and Innervillgraten to the Unterstaller Alm, where we had lunch in the hütte.

After eating, we went on a short hike up to the Obersteller Alm. There is a small, old village which is now used as vacation huts for people to rent in the summer.

Here is the village of Innervillgraten. For a long time the village was very isolated by the geography, and the people really developed their own dialect. In this part of the country, it's almost impossible to understand people, they're hardly speaking German any more!
On the steep slopes of the mountains, the farmers dry their hay on stands that makes them look like creatures marching down the hill. In German they are called "Heumenschen" which translates to "little hay men."
